Stone coated roofs maintain their original appearance far longer than steel ribbed roofs.

Once your ribbed roof will loose paint, you can never repaint it back to the same factory painted quality. The factory cures paint at proper temperatures which is just not possible with an air-dried repainting job. The moisture content in air, uncontrolled drying time would effect the repainting quality.

The new paint may have same color, a new sheen, but it can never have the same life as a cured-applied paint done at the manufacturer’s factory.

In some cases, repainting a roof may void your warranty too.

A repainted roof will look as good as the work done by your repainting contractor. This work quality can vary a lot. Lap marks/ Tiger stripes in case of touch ups or incorrect selection of paint material can make your roof appear really bad over time.

The repainted part of your roof will discolor differently from the factory painted roof system so in many cases you might want to replace panels rather than repaint, but if you look at the photo shown above, you can see you would have to replace almost all panels if you choose to go this route!
